The purpose of the Center is to promote youth and adult education with regard to the following:
| The Underground Railroad of the 19th century, the involvement in that organization by George Willison Adams and his home, Prospect Place. | |
| The history of agriculture in this region. | |
| The history of Native American presence in the Muskingum River Valley area. | |
| The continued preservation and restoration of the G. W. Adams home site at Prospect Place Estate. |
To these ends the center sponsors the following programs:
| Tours, seminars and lectures about the Underground Railroad. | |
| Lectures, seminars and agriculture related shows. |
We are always looking for ways to support these worthwhile programs. We actively pursue State, Federal and private grants. Proceeds from tours and Ghost Investigations are used to further these programs.
